Choices
This poem was inspired by the found poems that we talked about in class today! I love the idea, find it fasicinating, creating a completely new meaning from what the author meant. I think the idea is the most limitless constraint because so much can be done with it yet it is just the words on one page.
I picked these specific words for my poem because although I respect Chris for his desicion to experience the wild and take a break I think he went into it too foolishly and hastily. If he would have kept his savings at least he would have something to fall back on, perhaps he did not realize that even Jack London made a hefty profit from all his books about the wild and lived comfortably. The real world after all is harsh and I feel it is necessary to have finacial security. Perhaps had he had made a more wise desicion he might still be living.
